Dear Friends from latinamerica, Australasia, USA and other countries
Is a real pleasure and privilege to join you all in this International Symposium.
We had had the possibility to participate in several symposium with the AANS In the past and we are happy to see that every time they are more and more successful due to the participation of several collegues from many countries.
The Latinamerican Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (FLANC) is a Continental Federation with 23 regional member societies and 3 nonregional member societies as well.
We are fully committed to improve education for our collegues neurosurgeons in Latinamerica and share our academic and scientific work with neurosurgical societies worldwide.
FLANC has began to build strong relations among different International Societies and we have been participating in their meetings as Invited Society and with several speakers.
Let me tell you that Recently we certified postgraduate reference centers in Latinamerica and abroad to allow young neurosurgeons to have a short visit (1 to 3 months) in order to be trained in different aspects of our specialty that could be applied in clinical work in their countries.
Full or partial grants have been given by FLANC to young neurosurgeons from different countries to fulfill training.
Last two years we have been working on a strong tool for education in our web page. Webinar conferences have been done with great success and we are preparing an agenda with a program for each subspecialty for the next two years.
We are planning in August 21 and 22 , 2019 the first EANS FLANC training course outside Europe in Rosario, Argentina with the support of EANS and 8 speakers from Europe and 20 from latinamerica.
Thank you for the possibility to participate in this Symposium.
